Huge success for Virtual EskoWorld event

The first Virtual EskoWorld has been a huge success, with more than 3,500 delegates from across the print and packaging industry and all around the world taking part in a program of webinars and discussion sessions held by the global supplier of integrated hardware and software solutions.

EW Logo 2020For the two weeks from 27 April, Esko delivered its annual premier technology focused EskoWorld event through a total of 20 dedicated online sessions for brands and their packaging supply chain partners. Either through attending ‘live’ or downloading sessions, delegates discovered the latest innovations in packaging and label artwork management, prepress workflow automation and digitisation. Brand owners were able to network at live drop-in sessions throughout half-day online conferences, where they heard stories from brands who use Esko products in addition to training and product insights from the Esko team.

“This is the first time we have taken EskoWorld online and we are absolutely thrilled with the results,” said Melissa Plemen, Esko Sr. Director of Inside Sales and Marketing. “Across the ten days, we delivered a version of the same content we had planned for our eagerly anticipated live event, with experts hosting a range of exciting educational workshops and interactive learning opportunities.”

The annual EskoWorld event, originally scheduled for last month in Dallas, Texas, was one of the many industry expos cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. “As the industry navigates this difficult time, we wanted to give as many of our valued partners and customers as possible the opportunity to benefit from the huge program of activity we had prepared,” said Melissa. “Taking this year’s EskoWorld online was a logical solution, particularly with our current focus on digital transformation and the recent launch of our Digital Maturity Model for Packaging Suppliers, ensuring users experienced how the entire Esko technology ecosystem operates, as well as gaining a deeper understanding of how to benefit from digitisation.”

The virtual event was free to attend and offered insights into the latest best practice techniques, as well as exploring the future of packaging production workflow. A total of 3,581 delegates attended dedicated sessions ‘live’, with topics ranging from colour management, crystal screening for flexible packaging and the latest innovations in trapping, through to the latest in structural design tools, optimising corrugated production and emulation proofing for digital presses.

“We were thrilled with the uptake from across the industry, with nearly 10,000 registrations across the sessions,” said Melissa. “As well as the thousands of delegates who took part in the sessions live, we have had thousands more downloading the replays around the globe,” said Melissa.

“With EskoWorld being an interactive platform for users it was heartening to receive so many hundreds of questions throughout the interactive sessions, which our experts ensured they addressed, and the feedback from delegates has been incredibly positive.

“We’re delighted our inaugural Virtual EskoWorld was so well received,” added Melissa. “We are looking forward to building on this success as we continue to work closely with our customers and guiding them on their own digital transformation journeys.”
